I couldnt find a colour in the dulux range that even came close to what I wanted... Some greener shades of grey are: Gamelan, Milton Moon, Silkwort

dulux gamelan Hello all, Selected a DULUX color tossing between ANTIQUE WHITE USA or HOG BRISTLE and the painter I got uses TAUBMANS.
Whats the equivalent color in TAUBMANS range for both of those colors?
Or it doesnt really matter?
Can they color the TAUBMANS paint using the same color choice from DULUX range?
Hope I am making sense.
Yes the Taubmans paint can be tinted to suit the Dulux colour, I have done the same when painting our home and never had a problem.
Generally paint tinting is included in the cost of paint when you buy it from the paint retailer.
It is possible to rock up to a shop selling Dulux paint with a tin of plain white Taubmans, and ask them to tint it to a Dulux colour, however they're likely to charge you a few dollars for the privilege, and there's no guarantee if you buy a Dulux tin of the same colour down the dulux gamelan that it will match exactly.
If your painter is supplying the paint, he may get his just click for source from somewhere that has a Dulux tinter, or else may be able to recommend the closest approximate colour in the Taubmans catalogue.
Antique White USA is a very popular colour, so Gambling game bitcoin be surprised if your professional painter can't do it.
I've bought paint from many a hardware store, and the Dulux paint centres.
They can all tint in each others colours.
Hogs Bristle and Antique White USA are quite different colours.
Hogs Bristle is a brown compared to Gambling cancun White USA's yellowy cream.
My place is Antique White USA in a half-tint.
I often use quarter really. gambling toronto canada idea half tints to get the colour I actually want, as the paint usually looks stronger on the wall than it does on the card.
They can all tint in each others colours.
To tint Dulux colours, a paint store will need a Dulux tint machine.
Plus the associated colour phone books, though usually looked up on a computer these days.
Same goes for other brands, eg Wattyl colours will need a Wattyl tint machine etc.
Also keep in mind if you're wanting to try sample pots, it's often impossible to tint a 250ml pot in the lighter white shades as the tint machine cannot deliver the required amount of tint, this is why Dulux sell pre-packaged mini sample pots of their whites range.
To tint Dulux colours, a paint store will need a Dulux tint machine.
Same goes for other brands, eg Wattyl colours will need a Wattyl tint machine etc.
Ok, so whats the dulux gamelan between a Dulux tinting delivery machine and a Wattle one?
For the amount of years i have purchsed paints I have never been rejected by any paint store when it came to tinting.
Paint stores have the equivalent formula's to cross tint different brands of paint colours using there own brand of tint machines.
Your painter will just get taubmans to tint the dulux colour when he buys it.
You dont put a dulux tint formula in cross brand paint because there a variations to the bases.
Ok, so whats the difference between a Dulux tinting delivery machine and a Wattle one?
There isnt really any difference dulux gamelan the actual tints.
The main difference is in the Paint bases.
Some white bases are whiter then others.
This is why each company colour matches and creates there own formula to replicate other brands colours.
Paint stores have the equivalent formula's to cross tint different brands of paint colours using there own brand of tint machines.

This post hits the nail on the head.
Paint stores have the equivalent formula's to cross tint different brands of paint colours using there own brand of gambling industry pestel analysis machines.
Your painter will just get taubmans to tint the dulux colour when he buys it.
Too True, having worked for Dulux, this is true, most popular colours can be matched using different brands of paint using their own formulas, however not ALL colours, those colours coming off deep bases you may have trouble matching as bases do vary company to company.
But the last two houses I've done were originally painted in Taubmans, and even years after they were painted, I found I could repaint small areas without having to redo the whole wall.
You couldn't even tell where the new paint was!
So the colour stability of Taubmans seems to be excellent.
Also, when you compare the brands at Bunnings, the Taubmans display has a much finer grading from one tint to the next.
Easier to get just the right tint.
Not saying that the other brands aren't good, but having been sort of forced into using Taubmans, that's certainly now my own preference for indoor painting.
All Wattyl yellows are not guaranteed for external use in Solagard, Dulux and Haymes are.
So even the quality of the tint is different between paint makers.
I normally use Wattyl but if someone wants a shade of yellow externally I have to go somewhere else.
This has been the case for as long as I can remember.
Geez it's not THAT hard guys Some of the replies are confusing what the op actually wants.
Paint stores have the equivalent formula's to cross tint different brands of paint colours using there own brand of tint machines exactly and if they dont the "better" paint places can just scan the swatch for the correct tint to add to their preferred paint brand damned if i know how painters can match 'by eye' so well, I sure as hell cant All Wattyl yellows are not guaranteed for external use in Solagard, Dulux and Haymes are.
So even the quality of the tint is different between paint makers.
That would be why a Wattyl tinter has an EY tint canister, for exterior yellow.
As Solagard is a Wattyl product, if it's not being tinted right by a paint supplier WITH a Wattyl tint machine, definitely go elsewhere.
Painters has made a lot of "guesses".
Lots great until you try to match.
Just out of curiosity as I will be painting soon why doesn't the painter like using Dulux?
All the bases come out of the same factory--so dulux taubmans, wattlyl et all- the only difference is in the tints--which you can change to any coy's tint you want--so--they are all the same Painters has made a lot of "guesses".
The main difference is in the Paint bases.
Thats what I thought, thanks for clearing that up.
They can cross tint.
I got British Paints tinted with a Taubmans colour only last week plain old vivid white base Make sure you get enough of your cross-tinted paint as 'spare' for touch ups in case there are slight differences across the bases of different brands.

M.J Harris painters and carpenters did an amazing job fixing, cleaning, prepping, and ultimately transforming the exterior of the home using Dulux “Gamelan” on the weatherboards and “Snowy Mountains Full” on the trims, windows, gutters and fascias. The feature front door was painted in a gloss black. Subtle references to.
